First Grade in the Doghouse...

After a very bad, naughty class the first grade was reduced to one center only: Drawing. They drew today and managed not only to redeem themselves but to create pretty spectacular work!

Friday means Kindergarten..

The city is the body,
the subway is the blood,
running through
tunnel veins.

It is sound and rhythm,
a pulse, the pulse,
a heartbeat,
a jazz riff,
a constant sea.

A mamas belly,
whisking us home.
